What Must I Do To Be Saved?
30 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
Acts 16:30
1. MAN IS SINFUL, SPIRITUALLY DEAD, AND SEPARATED FROM GOD (MAN IS LOST)
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23).
“Who were dead (spiritually dead) in trespasses and sins” (Eph. 2:1).
2. GOD LOVES YOU AND SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON (JESUS CHRIST) TO DIE FOR OUR SINS
“For God so loved the world, that He gave (death on the cross) His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) that whosoever believes in Him should not perish (eternal damnation), but have everlasting life (eternal salvation)” (Jn. 3:16).
“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures” (1 Cor. 15:3).
3. YOU MUST TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINS (REPENT) AND ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST BY FAITH AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR
“Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions” (Ps. 51:2-3).
“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons (children) of God, even to them who believe on His name (Jesus)” (Jn. 1:12).
THE SINNER’S PRAYER
If you desire that God forgive you, change you, and give you eternal life, pray this prayer with faith and sincerity from your heart: Dear God in Heaven, I confess I am a sinner and acknowledge my sins against you. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; that He died for my sins; and He arose from the dead. Please forgive me and wash my sins away by the blood of Jesus. Right now, I accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Right now, according to Your Word: I am forgiven. I am changed. I am saved! In Jesus’ name. Thank you, Father.
